The focus in technical implementation is on material expertise, tooling management and manufacturing know-how. Early optimisation and continuous alignment of the triangle of material, tooling and process avoid unnecessary costs — before they show up as scrap, rework or delivery failures.
Supplier development — distinction from the auditor role
Unlike an auditor I build systems and supplier relationships rather than only checking them. Supplier development means making requirements understandable, developing processes with the supplier, accompanying qualification and setting up collaboration so that quality holds in everyday work — not only on audit day.
